Privacy Policy

Exify ("Exify", "we", "us") is an expense-tracking app for individuals and small teams, operated by Typebit Technologies LLP, 33/C/S-3 Scheme No 78 III, Sector F Slice 3, Vijay Nagar, Indore, Madhya Pradesh 452010, India. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and a name. If you sign in with Google, Google provides your name, email address and profile picture. You may replace or remove the picture at any time in Account settings. Passwords are never stored in readable form; they are hashed by our authentication provider.

Information you enter. Exify stores what you record in the app: expenses (amount, currency, exchange rate, category, description, notes, date and the payment method you chose), budgets, currencies, and the names of the bank accounts and cards you add. For cards we store only a nickname, the card type and the last four digits. We never ask for or store full card numbers, expiry dates, CVV codes or full bank account numbers.

Workspace information. If you create a workspace or join one, your name and email are visible to the other members of that workspace. Invitations you send store the invitee's email address.

Technical information. Our servers record standard connection data (IP address, request time) in security logs. The app reports crashes and errors, including the device model, operating system version and app version, so we can fix problems. We do not collect precise location, contacts or advertising identifiers, and Exify contains no advertising.

2. How we use information

To provide the service (store and display your expenses, convert currencies, sync across your devices and team); to secure accounts (email verification codes, sign-in, invitation emails); to support you when you contact us; and to fix bugs. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Who processes your data

We use these service providers, who process data only on our instructions:

Your data may be stored on servers located outside your country. Where required, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

4. How long we keep data

For as long as your account exists. When you delete your account (Account → Delete account in the app, or via our deletion request page), your account, profile photo and any workspace only you belong to are permanently deleted. Expenses you recorded in a shared workspace remain with that workspace, because they are part of the team's records. Backups are purged within 30 days.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Most of this you can do inside the app; for anything else, email typebit.studio@gmail.com.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by our hosting provider. Access to workspace data is enforced by database-level rules, so members can only read the workspaces they belong to. Email verification is required to create an account.

7. Children

Exify is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

8. Changes

We will post any changes here and update the date above. Material changes will be announced in the app.
